The Flash’s Love Life Crumbles as Secret Identity Is Discovered

On Tuesday evening’s episode of The Flash, Barry and his girlfriend, Patty, officially broke up after she discovered he was the Flash. When you date a detective you’re bound to have some trouble keeping secrets hidden, and Barry’s girlfriend finally put two and two together to realize that he is the speedster known as the Flash. When she confronted Barry with her epiphany, he shrugged it off saying, “I’m not him.”

So Patty, fighting back tears, left him, but not for long. Patty later called Barry and told him that she was in trouble and that a man with a gun was on her train. When the Flash arrived moments later, Patty revealed it was a false alarm. She had just wanted to be certain that the Flash and Barry were indeed the same person, which they are. The episode ended bittersweetly with Patty watching Barry speed away as her train carried her out of Central City.

The Flash airs Tuesdays at 8pm on CW.
