‘The Bachelor’ Enlists Famous Fans for Emmy Campaign

The Bachelor is one of the longest-running reality shows on TV (20 seasons and counting), and one of the most-imitated — but it’s never been nominated for an Emmy. The lack of recognition may have something to do with the fact that for years, the dating show was considered a guilty pleasure — something any self-respecting TV fan would not talk about in public. Well, rose lovers, those days are over. This year Warner Bros., the studio that produces The Bachelor, is reminding Emmy voters how many famous people are now out-and-proud members of Bachelor Nation in 2016.

The ad points out that everyone from action heroes (Ryan Reynolds) to Oscar winners (Sean Penn) are watching this show — so Emmy voters don’t have to be ashamed to give The Bachelor a rose vote now that nomination time is here.

Watch Kirsten Dunst talk about her love of The Bachelor, and let us know in the comments if you think ABC’s reality stalwart is Emmy-worthy.

The Emmy nominations will be announced on July 14. Stay with Yahoo TV for complete Emmy coverage.
