Teen Honored As Homecoming King Days After Losing Battle with Leukemia

Inside Edition CBS

A teen wins homecoming king after losing his battle with leukemia. 17-year-old Nick Walker Peters missed his freshman and sophomore years at Harlingen High School, but returned briefly for his junior year before his health started to decline again. He died just days before homecoming, but his friend, Norman Torres, accepted the honor on his behalf. Norman is also battling cancer and would see Nick at the treatment center they both went to in Houston.
