‘Tangled: The Series’: This Is Who’s Starring With Mandy Moore

What a tangled web they weave. The beloved characters from the 2010 hit Disney movie Tangled returned earlier this month with a Disney Channel movie, but the magic continues with the weekly animated adventures on Tangled: The Series, premiering March 24. We have an exclusive sneak peek at what’s in store for Rapunzel as she takes Corona by storm — with a little help from her friends, both old and new.

In this star-studded cast featurette, Mandy Moore, who voices Rapunzel in the movie and the series, says she welcomes another chance to play the princess with the long magical hair. “I love this character so much, so to have the opportunity to bring her back to the screen is really exciting,” she says.

Moore reveals that the new show is all about Rapunzel exploring new friendships, but some familiar faces (and voices) will turn up, including Zachary Levi’s Eugene Fitzherbert, aka Flynn Rider, Shorty (Paul F. Tompkins), and animal friends Pascal and Maximus, who could all get into some hairy situations. (Pun intended.) Queen Arianna also makes a return, but since the character didn’t actually speak in the movie, Modern Family‘s Julie Bowen gives us her vocal debut.

The new cast of characters includes Raps’s handmaiden and BFF Cassandra (Eden Espinosa), town smarty Varian (Jeremy Jordan), and the appropriately named Hook Foot (Jeff Ross), who, incidentally, is the brother of Hook Hand from the movie.

“I love the world so much,” Tompkins says. “So I’m happy to be a continuing part of it.”

Tangled: The Series premieres on March 24 at 7:30 p.m. on Disney Channel.
