Live from Beijing, it’s Saturday Night! China’s streaming service Youku will produce a Chinese version of Saturday Night Live after making a deal with NBCUniversal. This will be the tenth international iteration of SNL, with local versions produced in Italy, Korea and Germany; there’s also a Le Saturday Night Live in France.

‘SNL’ Under Fire For Allegedly Plagiarizing Louis C.K. Clown Sketch From Tig Notaro
Comedian Tig Notaro has blasted Saturday Night Live for plagiarizing her idea. The stand-up and star of Amazon’s One Mississippi co-wrote, directed, and starred in a 13-minute short called “Clown Service” that she premiered in 2015, and it bares a striking resemblance to a video sketch called “Birthday Clown” that aired on the most recent episode of SNL, hosted by Louis C.K. Amy Poehler Teams With Comedy Hero Carol Burnett for ABC Pilot
Amy Poehler is joining forces with comedy legend Carol Burnett for a new ABC show! The pilot focuses on a family moving into their dream home under one condition: the older actress who used to own the place can reside there with them until she dies. Burnett will play the actress, and Michael Saltzman, whose credits include Mad Men, Murphy Brown, and Wings, will write the script.
