On America’s Got Talent, singer Johnny Manuel from Flint, Michigan, got a second chance at stardom when he absolutely crushed Whitney Houston’s “I Have Nothing.” Manuel got a taste of stardom when he signed with Warner Bros. as a teenager under the stage name Lil’ Johnny. He worked with big time record producers like P. Diddy and Jermaine Dupri; he toured with Lill Bow Wow and N Sync; and had a song on the soundtrack for the 2001 film The Brothers. Then it all went away just as quick as it came.
