Many of the winners from Sunday’s 74th Golden Globe Awards gave memorable speeches. When Ryan Gosling won for Best Actor in “La La Land,” he joked about being confused for Ryan Reynolds. He then thanked his partner, Eva Mendes, for her support while he was making the film, saying, “My lady was raising our daughter, pregnant with our second, and trying to help her brother fight his battle with cancer.” Gosling dedicated his award Mendes’s brother who passed away.

Kelley drama "Goliath," which starts streaming on Amazon Prime on Friday. Thornton plays Billy McBride, a washed-up, alcoholic lawyer who goes up against the big Los Angele firm he helped create.
