‘Supernatural’ Casts ‘Pretty Little Liars’ Actress for Season 12 Role (EXCLUSIVE)

Pretty Little Liars” actress Kara Royster has booked a guest role in Season 12 of The CW’s “Supernatural,” Variety has learned exclusively.

Royster will play Alicia, a fellow hunter who crosses paths with Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) in episode six of the upcoming season. Raised by a witch, Alicia and her brother Max now hunt the things that go bump in the night.

“Supernatural” will also feature Rick Springfield as Lucifer for a guest arc in Season 12. Additionally, the new season will see Samantha Smith return as Sam and Dean’s mother, Mary Winchester, who was resurrected in the final moments of the Season 11 finale. Variety sister site TVLine also reports that “Veronica Mars” alum Adam Rose will be reprising his Season 8 role of Aaron Bass in the fifth episode of Season 12.

Royster has been a recurring player on “PLL,” and first appeared in Season 6. Her character, Yvonne, was last seen in the Season 7 summer finale in a car crash that left her bloodied and seemingly unconscious — if not dead. Her fate was one of the big cliffhangers of the finale, and Freeform has kept mum on whether she will make it out alive and return for the final 10 episodes of the hit series.

Royster’s other credits include Disney Channel’s “K.C. Undercover,” Disney’s “Liv and Maddie,” MTV’s “Faking It” and Fox’s “Scream Queens.” She is repped by Myrna Lieberman Management and House of Representatives.

“Supernatural” Season 12 premieres Thursday, Oct. 13 at 9 p.m. on The CW.
