'Suits' Star Rick Hoffman Plays 'It's Your Line'

Rick Hoffman has helped turn Suits’s Louis Litt into one of the 99 Greatest TV Characters Since Tony Soprano. As the show returns for its fifth season this week, Louis has finally got what he’s always wanted: Donna (Sarah Rafferty) working for him instead of Harvey (Gabriel Macht).

While fans wait to see what the future holds for the trio — “There can be jealousy, anger, bitterness, forgiveness, humor — so they ping-pong between those things in the space of what’s also going on at the firm,” creator Aaron Korsh teases — we decided to take a look at Hoffman’s past with a game of "It’s Your Line.” We read him dialogue from previous roles and asked him to place it.

What we learned: He didn’t know he had the part of the American Client in Hostel until two days before he had to shoot it. “All of that weird energy that you see in that movie is because I was not sleeping, worried about, ‘Am I gonna get fired?’ because I just didn’t know how I was gonna end up acting like that kind of crazed maniac,“ he says. IMDB is correct, he did guest on CSI: Miami twice: "I was hired twice for CSI: Miami, six years in between, for different roles.” And, he thinks he needs to work on his résumé. “You compare it to other actors, and they have real stuff on there. I have Mugger No. 7.”

Wait, we do remember seeing the role Mugger listed on his IMDB page.

“There was a 'Mugger’ on there,” he says, laughing. “That was my first job, actually, that gave me my SAG card. It was a Disney movie where I mugged a dog.”

Suits airs Wednesdays at 9 p.m. on USA.
