Steve Harvey Teams With Mark Burnett for Business Competition Series

TV fans, you got your wish – more Steve Harvey! The Family Feud, Celebrity Family Feud, Little Big Shots, and Steve Harvey host, Steve Harvey, just got himself a bit more exposure with a new untitled reality series.

The show, of which ABC has already ordered 13 episodes, will pair Harvey with reality mogul Mark Burnett, the man behind ABC’s Shark Tank, and the spinoff Beyond the Tank…as well as The Voice, The Apprentice, and Survivor.

Harvey will play the “funder of dreams” to entrepreneurs pitching their business ideas in head-to-head competitions for audience vote. And that vote will decide whose idea gets funded.

Burnett, who will act as executive producer on the new series, said, “My dream has been to work with Steve, and this is the perfect project for us to do together. He is an amazing talent and has an enormous heart for entrepreneurs, some of whom will get their businesses jump-started because of him.”

Harvey is coming off the dual successes of NBC’s Little Big Shots, which was the biggest reality show launch in nearly five years, as well as ABC’s Celebrity Family Feud, which was renewed for a second season. He also made headlines at the end of 2015 during a highly publicized gaffe in the announcement of the winner of the Miss Universe competition.

But we have faith that Burnett and Harvey will work out any kinks before the series goes to air later this year.
