Steve Harvey Impressed by Kid’s Spot-On Michael Jackson Performance on ‘Little Big Shots’

On Little Big Shots, the hilarious Steve Harvey was very impressed with one kid singer’s Michael Jackson cover. Nine-year-old JD McCrary brought his vocal powers to the Jackson 5 tune “I Want You Back.”

McCrary has already made a bit of a name for himself, as his Instagram reveals him hanging out with Dr. Dre and recording tracks with Jason Derulo. His voice is also featured on the track “Terrified” from Childish Gambino’s album Awaken, My Love!

But before McCrary busted out with his Jackson-esque voice, Harvey felt like there was something that JD needed to get under his future international superstar belt — a little dance called the Roach.

“You got to snatch it. ’Cause you’re getting the roach out of the corner, man!” said Harvey as he demoed some fancy footwork, which McCrary happily imitated. Although McCrary might have added a little too much Jackson flair to the Roach for Harvey’s liking, his “I Want You Back” cover was spot-on.
