Star-Studded Performances on Tony Bennett’s 90th Birthday Special


NBC aired Tony Bennett Celebrates 90: The Best Is Yet to Come on Tuesday to honor the legendary singer on his birthday. Some of the biggest stars showed up to celebrate. Lady Gaga performed two songs and showed off her tattoo that she got to show her love for Bennett.

Stevie Wonder changed the lyrics to “I Just Called to Say I Love You” to ” Tony, I am here because I love you.”

Bob Dylan and Elton John gave pre-taped performances while Billy Joel featured a duet of “New York State of Mind” at Madison Square Garden with Bennett.

Kevin Spacey spoke about Tony Bennett’s philanthropic work, saying, “You are a master, and what you have done particularly in arts education, and I’m talking [as] somebody who was a product of arts education, has meant so much to so many young kids.”

Tony Bennett performed a few of his hit songs, including “The Best is Yet to Come,” demonstrating why he’s been so loved for so many years.
