Stallone Talks About the Actor Who Almost Beat Him to Death
Sylvester Stallone stopped by The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and talked about the one time Dolph Lundgren almost killed him with his super punches while shooting Rocky IV. Turns out the Italian Stallion took a number of hard blows to the chest from the 6-foot-5 blond during a fight scene and ended up needing to be airlifted to a hospital. Stallone said he spent four and a half days in the hospital as a result of his injuries.
But he took another hit during his Rocky days — one was more emotional. Before Rocky was greenlit, Stallone sold his dog for $50 to make ends meet. Once the movie was in production he bought the dog back, but the new owner charged him $1,500!
