Who Deserves an Emmy Nomination?
“Parenthood” (Drama Series)
It’s tough to find a place for NBC’s sprawling family dramedy in what looks to be a very crowded Best Drama race. But we’d like to give this latest Jason Katims tearjerker a Special Jury Prize for its unique achievement: using its ten-deep acting ensemble to weave together a heartfelt, naturalistic, human story that feels more true to life than anything else on TV. Emmy voters, don’t do to “Parenthood” what you did to Katims’ late, great “Friday Night Lights”; recognize its greatness while it’s still on the air to enjoy it.
