Taran Noah Smith, the youngest of the kids on "Home Improvement," left acting after the show went off the air in 1999. His DUI arrest in February led to his sentencing yesterday for "vehicular crime" and drug possession. He's been sentenced to a 12-hour program for the DUI, a six-month drug diversion program, and three years probation.

Amy Locane-Bovenizer is best known as one of a few characters to get evicted from the original "Melrose Place" after its first season. Last week, a New Jersey jury con-victed the actress of vehicular homicide after a 2012 car crash that left a 60-year-old woman dead; Locane-Bovenizer's blood-alcohol level was nearly 3 times the legal limit.

Frankie Muniz, the titular Malcolm, who also starred in popular kids' fare like "Agent Cody Banks," had a mini-stroke last week, during which he apparently couldn't speak. He joked on Twitter about "Getting old!", but he's just turned 27. Back in February 2011, Phoenix police were called to Muniz's home after his girlfriend, Elycia Turnbow, claimed that he had struck her and held a gun to his own head. Muniz was never arrested and no charges were filed. His publicist released a statement after the incident saying Muniz was not suicidal and Turbow was never assaulted.

Ariel Winter plays smart cookie Alex Dunphy on "Modern Family," and you could argue that her bid to emancipate herself from her parents is a smart move -- an attempt to keep from turning into another troubled child star down the road. You could also argue that she just doesn't want her parents to tell her not to see her 18-year-old boyfriend anymore. Winter is currently bunking with older sister Shanelle Workman of daytime's "One Life to Live."

"The Amanda Show" has taken a strange turn in real life. Amanda Bynes denied that her DUI arrest in April had anything to do with drinking, tweeted at the President to fire the cop who took her into custody, got her license revoked after plural hit-and-run incidents, and barricaded herself in a Hollywood store's dressing room for two hours.

Lisa Robin Kelly, famous for playing bombshell sister Laurie Forman on "That 70's Show," got pinched last week for misdemeanor assault. Her 61-year-old husband was also charged with misdemeanor assault after police responding to a domestic call at the couple's home.

Dee Jay Daniels played D.L. Hughley's son Michael on "The Hughleys." Now he's in jail awaiting trial for the fatal 2011 stabbing of a man outside a nightclub. Daniels, whose given name is Dorjan Lydell, could face life in prison if convicted.

Former teen dream Matthew Underwood -- Logan Reese of Nickelodeon's "Zoey 101" -- pled not guilty last week to violating his probation when police picked him up... outside the hookah lounge he owns in Port St. Lucie, FL. Why was he on probation? A marijuana bust in April.
