Snoop Dogg Defeats Chris Paul in ‘Lip Sync Battle’

Legendary rapper Snoop Dogg took on NBA All-Star Chris Paul in a spirited episode of Lip Sync Battle. Snoop appeared to have an advantage, being a performer and all, but Paul showed that professional athletes are pretty good dancers.

Paul performed Snoop’s song “Gin and Juice” as his opening number, and it made us feel like we were back in 1993 again. For Paul’s second performance he went way back to New Edition’s “Candy Girl.” And while his name is Chris Paul, he might want to consider changing it to Chris Paula Abdul, because his dance moves were terrific.

Snoop started things off in a loving manner by performing Bob Marley’s “Could You Be Loved.” Apparently Snoop smoked up the backstage before performing the reggae classic. For his second piece, Snoop lost his shirt and donned a wig to perform Journey’s “Don’t Stop Believing.”

It was hard to determine who won, but ultimately Snoop was just too lovable to lose, so he was awarded the belt.

Lip Sync Battle airs Thursdays at 10 p.m. on Spike.
