'Sneak peek' at 'Game of Thrones' Season 7 finale with fan favorite on 'Conan'

Earlier this week, HBO announced the length of the Game of Thrones Season 7 finale, titled The Dragon and the Wolf. It will be the longest episode ever — 79 minutes and 43 seconds. On Conan, they showed a sneak peek of the episode that reveals how they filled that extra time.

Given the hyperspeed pace of Season 7, the sneak peek seems oddly reminiscent of Season 1 through Season 6. Things move much slower; there’s more dialogue, and there’s a lot of buildup that doesn’t necessarily lead anywhere. Of course, in the actual show, a lot of the buildup that didn’t seem to deliver anything at the time was actually just building up to what we’re all witnessing now — and will witness in the future.

Everything in this sneak peek builds up to reveal a Game of Thrones fan favorite, none other than Samwell Tarly himself, John Bradley, who happened to be there all along.

Check out the Game of Thrones bromance that’s the buddy comedy we all deserve:
