Shine America Names Lee Rierson COO
Lee Rierson has been promoted to Chief Operating Officer of Shine America. Rierson, who has been with the company since 2006, will be responsible for all of Shine America’s corporate and strategic operations, physical production studios, business and legal affairs, human resources and labor relations across all labels and business units. “Lee’s vast entertainment experience and strategic expertise make him the ideal executive to help us lead Shine America into a new era, as we look to expand our imprint in the U.S. broadcast and cable TV marketplace,” said Shine America CEO Carl Fennessy, to whom Rierson will report.
Rierson most recently served as Managing Director and Head of Worldwide Business & Operations for Shine America’s predecessor Reveille when it was an independent production company owned by Ben Silverman, and then through its acquisitions by Shine Group and ultimately by News Corp. Before joining Shine, Rierson served as VP of Business Affairs at ABC T and practiced law at Hansen, Jacobson, Teller, Hoberman, Newman, Warren & Richman; the Law Offices of Steven Drapkin; and the Proskauer Rose firm.
