Shia LaBeouf Will Spend a Month Alone in a Cabin for Latest Performance Art Project
Shia LaBeouf is taking some time for himself.
Beginning Wednesday, the 30-year-old actor will be spending a month alone in a remote cabin located in Finland, Switzerland, and will only be able to communicate with the outside world via text message. Visitors of the Kiasama museum in Helsinki will be able to text LaBeouf, along with members of his art collective, Nastja Ronkko and Luke Turner, who will be in separate cabins nearby.

While LaBeouf, Ronkko and Turner will be able to text with people, they are forbidden to have contact with one another. For fans that can't make it out to Helsinki, a livestream of the museum and LaBeouf's texts are on the museum's website.
In January, the Transformers star was arrested in New York City after allegedly attacking a 25-year-old male at a protest. The protest was taking place in front of the Museum of Moving Image in Queens, New York, where LaBeouf was livestreaming a "He Will Not Divide Us" art demonstration.
The project was to live stream from the museum for four years, the duration of President Donald Trump's term in White House, but in February, the museum abandoned the project and it has since been adopted by the Foundation for Art and Creative Technology in Liverpool, England.
