Shawn Mendes and James Corden Battle in 90's/2010's Sing-Off

James Corden was interrupted on The Late Late Show by singer Shawn Mendes. James Corden was playing Montell Jordan's classic 90's hit "This is How We Do It." Mendes complained that Corden doesn't give enough love to the hits of today. So the two entered into a riff-off that had the two singing popular song from their favorite decades. Shawn Mendes sang "Cheap Thrills" by Sia and James Corden sang "Jump" by Kriss Kross. With the two in a musical dead heat, they had a very staged realization. Corden said, "Maybe there is a world in which music then and music today can exist together. And we could make that happen right now in one incredible moment." The two then sang a duet of TLC's "No Scrubs," because people who judge music solely by decades are definite busters.
