Shark Week 2017 to Premiere in Theaters
Discovery thinks it’s gonna need a bigger screen.
This year, Shark Week will have a Fathom Events premiere in movie theaters before it hits the cable network, where it’s celebrating its 29th anniversary.
On the evening of Tuesday, July 18, select theaters nationwide will show a “Best Of” episode from 2016’s Shark Week — and debut one of this year’s all-new specials. Shark Week 2017 officially kicks off July 23 at 7 p.m. on Discovery.
Tickets for the “Shark Week 2017 Premiere Event” will go on sale June 9, at www.FathomEvents.com.
Discovery has yet to announce 2017’s Shark Week lineup, but as for the “Best of 2016” episode, we’d hope it would include a breach from Air Jaws: Night Stalker…
