Sextet of Jimmy Fallons Perform on 'The Tonight Show'
It’s a celebrity rite of passage: Being made into a wax figure (or five) by the famed sculptors at the Madame Tussauds’s museum. The latest A-lister to get this honor is Jimmy Fallon, who debuted his Madame Tussauds’s wax figures on The Tonight Show in a pre-taped skit.
After sharing the good news about the figurines with his mom over the phone, Fallon starts singing the Beach Boys classic “Barbara Ann” to himself — but his waxy, Uncanny Valley friends soon join in. Thanks to some charmingly low-tech “special effects,” the wax figures also “dance” and “clap” along with the host as he boogies around his dressing room. Of course, we’re talking about wax figures here, so of course things eventually turn creepy, and Fallon’s narcissistic joy at having so many Jimmys to play with turns to fear when the scary statues begin to zombie-walk toward him. All that’s missing is Vincent Price. Take a look.
The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon airs weeknights at 11:35 p.m on NBC.
