Flashback Friday: 'Sex and the City' Celebrates Fleet Week

For anyone who loves a man (or woman) in uniform, Fleet Week is the most wonderful time of the year. During the annual celebration, thousands of sailors from the Navy, Coast Guard, and Marines flood the city’s streets in their crisp white uniforms to participate in demonstrations, community service, and good old fashion sightseeing.

Thirteen years ago, Sex and the City built an episode around this New York tradition: In “Anchors Away,” the influx of sailors offered Carrie Bradshaw both the opportunity to meet some very handsome single men and reevaluate her relationship with New York. But as you’ll remember, once Louis from Louisiana (guest star Daniel Sunjata) started disparaging the “noise” and “garbage” of New York City — well, Miss Bradshaw realizes who her boyfriend truly is. Damn, we miss this show.
