'Sesame Street' Parodies 'Game of Thrones’

Sesame Street is back with yet another adorable-yet-smart take on a grown-up TV show. The series, which parodied Netflix’s House of Cards back in February, has now turned its sweetly satirical eye on HBO’s Game of Thrones. In the spoof dubbed “Game of Chairs,” Muppet versions of Robb Stark, Daenerys Targaryen, Joffrey Baratheon, and Cersei Lannister compete in a high-stakes battle of musical chairs to see who would get sole ownership of the iron throne. This iron throne, though, is made out of golf clubs.

Ned Stark, with his head thankfully still attached to his body, serves as the game’s moderator and we even get to see fun cameos from GoT notables Melisandre and Tyrion Lannister. A confused “Grover Bluejoy” is there to play music for the game, but he ends up annoying Ned so much you’d think he was Jamie Lannister.

As to who wins the game, let’s just say it was a surprising twist befitting the real Game of Thrones, which returns to HBO on April 12.
