See what happened when 'Bachelor in Paradise' had to shut down production

The new season of Bachelor in Paradise got underway Monday night after a lot of drama surrounding the show this summer. Production was shut down for a while as a result of allegations of sexual misconduct between Corinne Olympios and DeMario Jackson. On the premiere, we got to see what happened when the cameras went down, and hear reactions from the other cast members.

Corinne and DeMario were clearly enjoying each other on the first day, flirting and playing around in the pool together. Then we didn’t see the two until the next day. Later that night, producers stepped in and pulled Corinne and DeMario away from the party.

The crew was told to stop filming shortly after that, and they all started putting down their cameras. Jack Stone, from the most recent season of The Bachelorette, said, “Things seemed to be going OK, and the cameramen just kind of put their cameras down. And suddenly, we look around, there’s no crew, and it’s just us.”

With the crew all gone and the contestants still wondering what the heck happened, Paradise became a sad place. Danielle, from Nick’s season of The Bachelor, summed it up perfectly when she said, “It’s kind of like a chill fell over Paradise.”
