Scott Baio Mourns Erin Moran: 'I Always Hoped She Could Find Peace'

In the wake of Erin Moran’s passing, Scott Baio took to social media on Sunday to pay tribute to his late Joanie Loves Chachi co-star, who died Saturday of cancer at the age of 56.

“May people remember Erin for her contagious smile, warm heart, and animal-loving soul,” he wrote on Twitter. “I always hoped she could find peace in her life. God has you know, Erin.”

Moran and Baio first worked together on Happy Days, where they originated the roles of Joanie Cunningham and Chachi Arcola from 1974 to 1984. The short-lived spinoff Joanie Loves Chachi, which followed the music career of its title characters, lasted just two seasons in 1982 and 1983.

Ron Howard and Henry Winkler, two of Moran’s Happy Days co-stars, also tweeted their remembrances on Saturday.
