‘Savage Kingdom’ Trailer: ‘Game of Thrones’ Star Charles Dance to Narrate NatGeo Wild Miniseries

The battle to rule Westeros is nothing compared to the battle to rule the wilderness.

NatGeo’s new Savage Kingdom is nature’s real-life version of Game of Thrones. There’s a king, a queen, an assassin, and even an army. Sound familiar?

It’s even got Tywin Lannister — well, Charles Dance as narrator. And as he warns in this exclusive trailer, “I have no mercy for the weak, no room for the weary, no pity for cowards.”

The documentary takes viewers deep into the heart of Savute, Africa, where clans clash. But instead of Starks and Lannisters, these families are made up of lions, leopards, hyenas, and wild dogs. Each episode is narrated from the point of view of one predator, as they face oncoming drought and ever more limited resources. In the midst of their struggles, they birth new heirs, experience tragic death, and form alliances.

Savage Kingdom premieres Friday, Nov. 25 at 9 p.m. on NatGeo Wild.
