'Saturday Night Live' #TBT: Mom Jeans Are the Perfect Mother's Day Gift
With Mother’s Day is just a few weeks away — set a reminder to order some flowers now! — it’s the perfect time to re-watch this gem of a Saturday Night Live sketch, “Mom Jeans.”
The commercial parody is from 2003, a golden era for the late night show. The cast boasted names like Tina Fey, Amy Poehler, Jimmy Fallon, and Seth Meyers. Really, the only time the women of SNL might have been stronger is the current cast.

Fey, Poehler, Rachel Dratch, and Maya Rudolph teamed up for this insanely hilarious ad for “Mom Jeans” — you know, the high-waisted, shapeless denim bottoms that mothers everywhere wear.
“She’ll love the nine-inch zipper and casual front pleats,” the voice-over gushes, over shots of Rudolph unloading a minivan and Fey gardening. You won’t be able to stop laughing as the ladies model the “generously cut” pants “found exclusively at J.C. Penney.”
Saturday Night Live returns May 2 with host Scarlett Johansson.
