Michael Ausiello

Saturday Night Live has announced its first Season 42 host: Suicide Squad star Margot Robbie will kick things off on Oct. 1 (11:30/10:30c).

Grammy winner and Oscar nominee The Weeknd will serve as the musical guest for Robbie’s episode; this marks The Weeknd’s second time taking the SNL stage, having already performed last season.

SNL enters its new season down three cast members, including veterans Taran Killam and Jay Pharoah and one-and-done featured player Jon Rudnitsky.
