Sarah Palin Daytime Court TV Show in Development
Sarah Palin may be getting her own court TV series.
The former vice presidential candidate and Donald Trump supporter has inked a deal with Montana-based production company Warm Springs Productions to headline her own daytime series in the vein of “Judge Judy,” Variety has confirmed.
Palin has not yet shot any footage or a pilot for the potential syndicated series, though Warm Springs will be shopping the Palin vehicle around, eyeing a fall 2017 launch. Barry Wallach and Lee Villas are selling the project.
“Judge Judy” and “Judge Joe Brown” producer Larry Lyttle is attached to exec produce the series, which is still in development. Lyttle was based at Big Ticket Entertainment when “Judge Judy” launched, but he has not been with the CBS-based company for over a decade.
Unlike other court television personalities, Palin does not hold a law degree, though People has a source saying the former Alaska governor is Warm Springs’ star of choice, as she has a “telegenic personality, wide appeal and common sense wisdom make her a natural for this kind of format.”
Palin has her fair share of television experience, though she’s never sat at the helm of any court fare. She was an on-air contributor for Fox News and also starred in her own TLC family reality show “Sarah Palin’s Alaska.”
