Zoe Saldana Cast in NBC's Rosemary's Baby
Zoe Saldana should probably pick up a copy of What to Expect When You’re Expecting Satan’s Spawn, because she’s been cast as the lead in NBC’s adaptation of the horror classic Rosemary’s Baby.The Star Trek siren will play Rosemary, the role made famous by Mia Farrow in Roman Polanski’s 1968 film, in the Peacock Net’s upcoming miniseries based on Ira Levin’s demonic novel.

NBC’s version of the tale moves the action to Paris, where young wife/mother-to-be Rosemary and her husband move into an apartment with a dark history. As time passes, Rosemary becomes convinced that her husband and neighbors have nefarious designs on her unborn child.
Saldana will also co-executive-produce the four-hour project with a team that includes Joshua Maurer (Rubicon) and Lionsgate Television. Agnieszka Holland (Treme) will direct, with a script by Scott Abbott (Introducing Dorothy Dandridge) and James Wong (American Horror Story)
