X Factor 2015: Fancy A Look At Their New Science Lab-Themed Trailer?

Y’know how the folks over at The X Factor have been teasing the new series for so long, we’re beginning to wonder whether it’s actually ever going to arrive (so much so that we’ve already started comfort eating)?

Well, LISTEN UP, EVERYONE, because ITV have chucked their new trailer online ahead of it’s original release (which was supposed to be at 7.30pm tonight) and we’re happy, free, confused and lonely at the same time.

Partly because it involves an actual army of Cheryl Fernandez-Versinis and partly because it shows Louis Walsh’s spirit living on via Nick Grimshaw.

Yep, welcome to X Factor’s Secret Science Lab, which sadly, includes much better facilities than the temperamental bunsen burners and broken gauze we were gifted with at school.

Oh, the memories.

Back to the trailer though, which shows new hosts Caroline Flack and Olly Murs discovering the secret formula behind the new series.

Dun, dun, DUUUUUN.

Grimmy is part of that secret formula, wasting no time in getting into the role as a new judge by being fitted with a microchip, only to realise he’s basically become the ghost of Christmas X Factor’s past.

Why? Because he starts repeating phrases like: “You look like a popstar, you sound like a popstar.”

He reminds us of a young Louis Walsh, but we can’t quite put our finger on why. Ahem.

Elsewhere in the mad scientist-esque lab, Rita gets to sit through a bunch of feedback training, while Chezza is cloned to make actual Chez-Bots.

Watch out, Simon Cowell.

Covering every emotional response she could give to auditionees, she’s shown saying: “I know exactly what you’re going through pet.”

Even SiCo himself gets involved, boasting that he’s “already found this year’s winner.”

He says: “It’s a group. Girls are going to love them, boys are going to love them, bigger than One Direction.”

Big words, Simon. Big words.

So, who are this group, then? We’ll give you three clues:

1) They’re cuter than a button.

2) They’re pretty good at their ‘You Raise Me Up’ rendition.

3) They’re partial to a bone-shaped treat every now and then.

Any idea?

Errrr, yep. It’s actually his dogs Squiddly and Diddly, and if we’re honest, we would be totally on-board with having them both audition.

We’ve seen worse, after all.

So, wanna see the whole thing? HERE YA GO:

Bring on the new series!
