X-cellent Pilot News: Gillian Anderson Joins NBC Drama From Life Creator Rand Ravich

Gillian Anderson is once more embroiled in an international conspiracy.

The X-Files star has joined an untitled NBC drama pilot — which centers on some shady global dealings — from Life‘s Rand Ravich, our sister site Deadline reports.

The project examines what happens when an unlikely puppeteer pulls Washington’s elite — including the President of the United States — into an international conspiracy. Ravich and Far Shariat will exec-produce.

666 Park Avenue‘s Rachael Taylor also has been cast as Susie Dunn, the FBI agent investigating the blackmail of some of Washington’s most powerful politicans. Anderson will play Susie’s sister Meg, a successful CEO estranged from her sibling thanks to the mutual secret they keep.

In the decade since The X-Files wrapped, Anderson has taken part in projects like Encore’s Moby Dick and the British TV series The Fall. She also has a three-episode arc on NBC’s upcoming Silence of the Lambs prequel series, Hannibal.
