Were Kim Kardashian and the Jenner Sisters Really Texting During the Ferguson VMA Tribute?!
Were the Kardashians busted texting during the VMA Michael Brown tribute?
Looks like the Kardashians have some explaining to do.
When rapper Common asked for a moment in silence for the late Michael Brown -- the unarmed 18-year-old who was fatally shot by a police officer in Ferguson, Missouri -- during Sunday's VMAs, the camera cut to Kim Kardashian and Kylie and Kendall Jenner, who appeared to be texting amongst themselves instead.
Not surprisingly, it didn't take long for social media users to call them out.

Kim in particular has spoken about racism and social change before -- in May, the reality star posted a passionate blog post about how racism and discrimination have affected her firsthand since becoming a mom to daughter North West.
"To be honest, before I had North, I never really gave racism or discrimination a lot of thought. It is obviously a topic that Kanye is passionate about, but I guess it was easier for me to believe that it was someone else's battle. ...I realize that racism and discrimination are still alive, and just as hateful and deadly as they ever have been ...," the 33-year-old wrote.
"I feel a responsibility as a mother, a public figure, a human being, to do what I can to make sure that not only my child, but all children, don't have to grow up in a world where they are judged by the color of their skin, or their gender, or their sexual orientation."
