'Walking Dead' Season 3 Gets a Premiere Date

Get ready to be zombie-fied, because "The Walking Dead" has a premiere date for its next season.

AMC announced Friday that the hit zombie drama will be back for a third season on Sunday, Oct. 14, at 9 p.m.

The 16-episode season will be split into two parts, with the first eight episodes starting in October and the second half of the season kicking off in February 2013.

The "Walking Dead" premiere will be followed by the season two premiere of the after-show "Talking Dead" at 11 p.m., and the unscripted series "Comic Book Men." Both series are going into 16-episode second seasons.
