Violence, Romance Teased in ‘Outlander’ Trailer

“Outlander” fans have received a treat this weekend.

Starz has released a new trailer for the Ronald D. Moore adaptation of Diana Gabaldon’s time travel series. It contains no dialogue, but does show the series’ protagonist Claire (Caitriona Balfe) by the standing stones which may be the ones to send her to 18th century Scotland.

The trailer also has a (shirtless for awhile) Jamie Fraser, who is played by Sam Heughan. Glimpses of the adventures and romance “Outlander” is known for are teased in the 30-second trailer.

“Outlander” has no set release date yet, but will air on Starz this summer.
