During a segment on fat-shaming in the television industry, “The View” co-host Raven-Symoné revealed that she was forced to wear a fat suit as the star of “State of Georgia.”

“They had me wear a fat suit because they said I wasn’t the size they wanted me to be,” she said, responding to an anecdote from co-host Whoopi Goldberg about a time when she missed out on a TV role after losing too much weight.

The actress starred in the ABC Family comedy series with Majandra Delfino and Loreta Devine for one season in 2012 before it was canceled due to poor ratings.

The panel had previously been discussing Zoe Saldana‘s recent comments condemning society’s expectations of new mothers and their bodies.

“There’s just way too much pressure” said co-host Paula Faris, who served as an ABC News anchor when she had her three children. “The pressure to get back into shape afterwards — I was told to look a little sexier … People just need to back off and let you take your time.”

“I’m still waiting to bounce back,” joked comedian Michelle Collins. “I haven’t had any kids, but I always say I want to get a mommy makeover.”

Moderator Whoopi Goldberg called on women in the spotlight to demand that their employers not force them to look a certain way. “You will only get what you will accept,” she said.

The episode also featured “Grandfathered” star John Stamos as guest, reuniting him with “Fuller House” co-star Candace Cameron Bure, who was taking her first turn as co-host of “The View” during production of the Netflix reboot.

The actor stopped by to promote both series, but he also brought along the original “Full House” pilot script. Along with Collins playing Bob Saget’s character Danny and Faris as Dave Coulier’s Uncle Joey, Stamos and Cameron Bure reenacted a scene from their first episode together in 1987.
