USA’s ‘Burn Notice’ & ‘Suits’ Finales Hit Season High, Tops Thursday Cable

When spies and lawyers go out, they go out large on USA Network. The summer finales of the cable network’s Suits and Burn Notice were season highs for both shows. They were also the two top shows on cable last night in all demos and in terms of total viewers, leaving the likes of Thursday’s Charlie Sheen’s Anger Management finale in the dust. The 10 PM season two finale of Suits, which was the number one show on cable, had 4.5 million viewers total. That audience is 12% more than watched last week and a stellar 29% rise from the season one finale on September 8 last year. Suits was the top show at 10 PM last night on both cable and broadcast among the 18-49 and 25-54 demos. At 9 PM, the season six end of the Miami-based Burn Notice had 5 million viewers. That was up 14% over the August 16 show and up 13% over the season five summer finale on September 8, 2011.

Heading deep into the demos, both shows did very well. Among Adults 18-49, the Suits finale got 1.9 million viewers. That’s up 8% from last week’s show and 30% up from last season’s finale. Among 25-54, it got 2 million, up 6 from the previous week and up 29% from the end of season one. Among 18-34, Suits pulled 903,000 viewers, up 11% from last week and a massive 37% from the end of last season. Burn Notice had 1.7 million viewers among Adults 18-49, up 13% from last week and 4% from last summer’s finale. Among 25-54, Burn got 1.9 million, up 10% from the previous week and up 4% from the end of last summer. Among 18-34, the spy show pulled 736,000 viewers, up 1% from last week and flat with last year’s summer finale.
