In an interview with Radio Times, the Sherlock actor confirmed that he and co-star Martin Freeman have signed on for a fourth season of the international smash (which airs stateside on PBS).
Production on the long-delayed third season is currently underway in London. “All I know at the moment is I’m doing these three [Season 3 episodes],” he said, “and another three [for Season 4].”

• Always the bridal stylist, never the bride? Not so if you’re former Bachelor frontrunner Desiree Hartsock, who has been named the next Bachelorette after competing for — and losing (?) out on — Sean Lowe’s love during the just-concluded season of the ABC matchmaking series. The ninth season of The Bachelorette premieres Monday, May 20 at 9/8c, before moving into its regular timeslot at 8 pm on May 27.

• Has the long-discussed 24 feature film called a time-out? Training Day helmer Antoine Fuqua, who had been attached to direct Jack Bauer’s big-screen transition, tells IndieWire that the project’s “not happening. I don’t think it’s gonna happen at all, definitely not with me.” A potential part of the hold-up: “I don’t think [Kiefer Sutherland] was able to get a proper agreement with Fox,” Fuqua shared.
• Lane Garrison has joined Lifetime/History’s upcoming miniseries Bonnie & Clyde, per The Hollywood Reporter. The Prison Break alum will co-star opposite Emile Hirsch and Holliday Grainger as Buck Barrow, Clyde’s brother and partner in crime.
• The Young and the Restless has recast the role of Kyle Abbott. Per Soap Opera Digest, Blake Hood has been replaced by newcomer Hartley Sawyer.
• History’s The Bible on Sunday night slipped 18 percent from its premiere, to 10.8 million total viewers, but still handily beat any and all rivals from 8 to 10 pm. Leading out of that, Vikings (with 4.6 million viewers) was down 26 percent from its own debut.
