TVLine Items: Sevigny to Portlandia, Bieber Does Simpsons, Have Gun-Will Travel Reboot and More

Chloe Sevigny is moving to Portlandia.

The Big Love alumna has joined Season 3 of the quirky IFC comedy as Fred and Carrie’s new roomie, EW.com reports.

Sevigny — who most recently appeared in the gritty British import Hit & Miss — will also co-star in this fall’s American Horror Story: Asylum playing a nymphomaniac.

• The Biebs is Springfield-bound. Justin Bieber has announced via Twitter that he “just did a voiceover for the SIMPSONS!!!” EW.com has confirmed the cameo, in which an animated Bieber will attempt to participate in a local talent show.

• Playwright David Mamet has teamed with CBS to reboot the network’s 1957 western drama Have Gun-Will Travel, Deadline reports. The classic series centered on a gunfighter who attempted to settle issues peacefully but wasn’t afraid to get rough when necessary.

• VH1 has renewed Single Ladies for a third season, to bow in late 2013.

• Oscar nominee Terrence Howard will guest-star in a Season 3 episode of Hawaii Five-0. Per EW.com, he’ll appear via flashbacks to Danny’s (Scott Caan) former life as a New Jersey cop. Kardashian kid Kendall Jenner will guest in the same installment.

• Parks and Recreation exec producers Michael Schur and Dan Goor have sold a comedy pilot to Fox, Deadline reports. The single-camera project is about a diverse group of cops in a New York City precinct.

• The 70th Annual Golden Globe Awards will air live on NBC on Sunday, January 13, 2013.

• The Academy of Television Arts & Science’s Foundation’s Primetime Emmy Season Online Auction, which benefits the TV Academy Foundation’s education and archival programs, is now open. Among the goodies you can bid on: a Community set visit, a White Collar poster signed by Matt Bomer, Sue Sylvester’s track suit with Jane Lynch’s signature and tickets to the hottest event in town, HBO’s Emmy after-party. The auction ends Aug. 30 at 4 pm PST.

• CBS TV Studios has teamed with social networking site Grubwithus on a promotion leading up to the premiere of the network’s new fall drama Elementary. On Thursday, Sept. 13, the site will host Sherlock-themed dinners at 10 English-centric hot spots across the country, including New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Chicago, Washington D.C., Philadelphia, Boston, Seattle, Atlanta and Dallas.
