TVLine Items: Olsen-less Fuller House, HBO Sets Animals Debut and More

It’s official: Netflix’s upcoming Tanner family reunion won’t include an appearance from Michelle.

Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, who portrayed the youngest Tanner sibling on Full House, will definitely not appear on the streaming service’s Fuller House revival, co-star Lori Loughlin tells The Huffington Post.

Loughlin revealed that Season 1 of the continuation has “wrapped and they didn’t come in,” adding, “I don’t think they’re going to make a cameo [in future seasons]. They didn’t this season.”

Executive producer Robert L. Boyett initially said the Olsen twins would not be involved with Fuller House, but Netflix boss Ted Sarandos stated in July that the actresses were “teetering” on the possibility of appearing.

* HBO announced Wednesday that its animated adult comedy Animals will premiere Friday, Feb. 5, at 11:30/10:30c. The 10-episode series focuses on the downtrodden creatures living in New York City, from lovelorn rats to gender-questioning pigeons to aging bedbugs.

* NatGeo has greenlit Killing Patton, a TV movie based on Bill O’Reilly and Martin Dugard’s book of the same name. The telepic — NatGeo’s fifth adaptation of O’Reilly’s Killing series — will focus on the significant death of World War II General George S. Patton, Jr.

* Showtime is developing Dark Net, an eight-part docuseries about the ominous and disturbing aspects of society’s dependence on technology. Premiering Thursday, Jan. 21, at 11/10c, the project will explore such topics as cyber-kidnapping, online cults and pornography addiction.
