Matthew Perry is officially headed back to the sitcom beat: NBC has ordered to series the famous Friend’s comedy pilot, Go On.

The project, from former Friends exec producer Scott Silveri, centers on a sportscaster (Perry) who, while trying to move on from a loss, finds solace in his mandatory group-therapy sessions.

Laura Benanti (The Playboy Club) and Julie White (Law & Order: SVU, Transformers) are set to co-star.

Our sister site Deadline first reported the pickup.
