TNT Greenlights Makeover Series ‘Save Our Business’

TNT has ordered six episodes of the business-revamp series featuring UK entrepreneur Peter Jones, who will travel across the country to put his reputation and cash on the line to save struggling small businesses. The network plans to premiere Save Our Business late this year. The A. Smith & Company series will be executive produced by Arthur Smith and Kent Weed (behind the similarly revamp-driven Fox series Kitchen Nightmares) as well as Frank Sinton. Jones, with interests in mobile phones, media and real estate, is no stranger to TV, appearing as a regular on the BBC series Dragon’s Den (the UK version of ABC’s Shark Tank).

The series is the latest unscripted project to move forward at TNT, which yesterday greenlighted the Dick Wolf-Magical Elves series Cold Justiceabout two investigators who dig into murder cases that have gone unsolved for years — to premiere in the summer. Next month comes Boston’s Finest, about Boston cops, from executive producer Donnie Wahlberg. Another unscripted project, the competition series The Hero hosted by Dwayne Johnson, debuts in the summer.
