Taco Bell's Super Bowl commercial is the most watched

Age is nothing but a number, as Taco Bell's 2013 Super Bowl commercial showed. Ratings are just a number, too -- and in this case, it's a very high one!

According to TiVo, Taco Bell's ad was the most watched spot of the entire game. In the commercial, set to a Spanish version of Fun.'s "We Are Young," a group of retirement home residents sneak out for a wild and crazy night of dancing at a rave and then get tattoos.

TiVo collected data from 30,000 of its users on which ads were viewed and played back. Other commercials that grabbed viewers' attention: Doritos's "Goat for Sale," Hyundai's "Pick Your Team," Doritos's "Tea Party," and GoDaddy.com's "Perfect Match."

"Taco Bell commercial" was also the second-highest search term on Yahoo! for Super Bowl commercials, second only to Dodge's "Farmers" ad. Doritos, GoDaddy.com, and Budweiser rounded out the top five.

Interestingly, a real-time analysis using mobile technology by Frank N. Magid Associates and React Labs found that the top commercial was the Budweiser "Clydesdale" spot. Taco Bell did not land in their top five most engaging ads.

Still, the Taco Bell "Viva Young" spot was universally considered one of the evening's best by the Twitterverse:
