Ready to stay in Springfield?

In case you still haven't had enough of The Simpsons, Fox has renewed the animated comedy for two more years, bringing it to its 28th season, and its 625th episode, the network announced Monday.

"I've outlasted Letterman, Jon Stewart and 'McDreamy,' because I have something they don't: a costly 200-donut-a-day addiction," said Homer Simpson in a statement.

The Simpsons began in 1990 and has become the longest-running scripted show in television history. The cartoon has earned numerous accolades, including 31 Emmy Awards, and was nominated for an Oscar in 2012 for theatrical short "The Longest Daycare." The show has spawned a feature film and an attraction at Universal Studios, and has its own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
