Simon Cowell Rescues 9 From Sinking Yacht

Simon Cowell turned into a real life superhero last night when he saved nine people from a sinking yacht in St. Tropez.

According to London's Evening Standard, Simon and his ex-girlfriend Sinitta were on holiday when a distress call came over the radio and The X Factor mentor ordered the captain of his private ship to stage a rescue mission. Simon's rep confirmed the story to TheInsider.com.

"Everyone ok, noone hurt.captain won't let boat sink, petrol in sea etc would cause major problems and fines. No tide, so hole plugged," Sinitta Tweeted last night following the rescue.
