Seth Rogen is heading to "The Mindy Project."
On Tuesday, at the FOX portion of the Television Critics Association Winter Session 2013 in Pasadena, Calif., the network announced that star of "The Guilt Trip" was set to appear on the February 19 episode of the comedy series.
The funnyman will play Sam, who Mindy's character - Mindy -- shared her first kiss with.
Speaking about Seth, Mindy said she is excited to reunite with the actor, whom she first met while filming 2005's "The 40 Year Old Virgin."
"It's just really fun spending time with him and I think he's a great writer," she said in response to a question from AccessHollywood.com during the network's Winter Comedy Panel presentation. "He's coming on to do an episode where he plays my first kiss that I met at Jewish summer camp."
Mindy confirmed the episode will feature flashbacks.
"Yeah, there will be, so we're, right [now], sort of casting for these younger versions of ourselves, which is really weird and fun," she said. "And, it's great. I just watched 'Before Sunrise,' so I love two people talking and Seth's so funny to talk to and it was great to reunite with him."
Mindy said don't expect Seth to play just a fun regular fellow her character is reconnecting with.
"There's some twists about what's happened to his character since the time I saw him," she said.
Seth is expected on set on "The Mindy Project" in the coming days, and she may probe her new guest star for a story or two about his recent "The Guilt Trip" co-star, Barbra Streisand.
"We haven't done the episode yet, but when he comes to the table read next week, I will," she said.
The episode, titled "The One That Got Away," airs February 19 at 9:30 ET/PT on FOX.
