Sean Penn, Robin Wright’s Daughter Making Acting Debut in Horror Film

Dylan Penn will make her acting debut as the lead in the indie horror film “Condemned,” with shooting starting in April in New York.

Eli Morgan Gesner is directing from his own script. Caliber Media partners Dallas Sonnier and Jack Heller arranged financing and will produce with Jason Sokoloff.

Penn, 22, is the daughter of Sean Penn and Robin Wright. She will play the youngest of a group of kids who live in a condemned building in Manhattan’s Lower East Side. The building’s residents succumb to an infection from their own waste and garbage, inciting attempts to kill one another.

Gesner was a professional skateboarder as a teenager before Russell Simmons hired him as one of the clothing designers for Phat Farm. He also created his own label, called Zoo York, and worked as creative consultant on HBO’s “How to Make it in America.”

Caliber Media is in post-production on “Chuck Hanks and the San Diego Twins” and “The Scribbler,” starring Katie Cassidy.

Penn has modeled in GQ, Elle and W. She is represented by Anonymous Content. Gesner is represented by UTA and manager Adam Schatz.
