Fox’s midseason serial thriller The Following has made another killer hire: Annie Parisse is joining the cast as a series regular, TVLine has learned.

Not your typical FBI agent, Parker is a walking contradiction. She can be extremely mannered and polite, but then rip you to shreds if necessary. She’ll follow the rules one minute and break them the next — even change them if it suits her. She’s smart and thoughtful and in an instant turn impulsive and erratic.

Parisse’s character is a reworked/recast version of a G-woman played in the original pilot by Jeananne Goosen (CSI: NY)

The Following — from Vampire Diaries EP Kevin Williamsonrevolves around a deranged serial killer (Purefoy) who creates his own cult of murderers via the wonders of technology, and the retired FBI profiler (Kevin Bacon) who is hunting him down. Justified‘s Natalie Zea also stars.
