Rizzoli & Isles Renewed for Shortened Season 7 at TNT

Rizzoli & Isles are staying chained to each other.

TNT has renewed the cop drama for Season 7, to air in summer 2016, the network announced Thursday.

The upcoming run will consist of 13 hours, the smallest episode order since its 10-episode freshman season.

Rizzoli opened its current run in June with 4.4 million viewers and a 0.7 demo rating, and frequently leads basic cable in total viewership. At last tally, it pulled 4.2 mil and a 0.6. With On Demand, digital and mobile views factored in, the procedural is averaging 11.1 million viewers weekly.
